"2000 Honda civic si. This car is black on black, has a 1.6L b16 Vtech engine( 5 speed tranny), DC headers and exhaust, AEM cold air inake system, Pioneer cd player (braned new), SSK rota black wheels, tires with 90% thread (all season falkens), short skunk 2 shifter, and much more. I am a new student and have no use for the vehicle since I take the bus.
IMPORTANT: I have the SMOG from California that will carry overy to NY. Already checked. Smog was done in California on 7/4/08 so valid until 10/4/08. Very good deal.
A COUPLE OF IMPORTANT THINGS:

  • Car has salvaged title due to theft, but everything has been restored. Speedometer reads 193000, but has 93000 miles since speedometer was replaced. This is noted on the pink slip.

Overall, very fun car to drive"

Ive heard mixed things about this kinda stuff. Its a salvage title , but a theft recovery one, and not a reconstructed one. Would it be able to be retitled into a nys title and eliminate the salvage? I know this prob isnt the best place to be asking about this, but im just wondering if anyone on here has ever had any experience with anything like this? I think the answer is pretty obvious , and to stay away from this car but im just curious.

  1. He spelled VTEC wrong.

  2. The car is a Honda Civic from California, of course it’s been stolen.

  3. Only buy this car if you want to be stuck with it just like the guy who is trying to sell it. I don’t think you can get a clean title on the car ever again.

Thats true dick, i think every civic/teg in cali has been stolen or has had parts of it stolen before.Sad thing is, its usually right infront of their houses.

you know its bad when VTachhk is spelled wrong

Pretty sure he has been trying to sell that car for a long time now. If it is the same one that I called about, it is not the original engine.

whats his asking price? it better be low.

he said hed take around 5 which is a few grand under book value.

Speedometer reads 193000…

Damn thats fast.

fwiw, if a title changes states the salvage is lifted

That doesn’t make sense…thats an odd loophole
