Thunder in the Burgh

Are they requiring Helmet, long pants, like they do at PRP?

no, unless you have a race car then they might

I’m going to try for Sunday. Not sure, though.

I’ll be down sunday

what time is everyone going?

I’m probably going to be there around 9 or so.

i’ll be there with a friend on satruday around 11am or so. We’re riding the bikes down, too much $$ to race IMO.

I think i am going sunday

but i might take my dad’s red SS

i agree and thats something that i brought up with the control board, but then i was shown the figures of what it costs to put on this event and now i can see why they need to make as much as possible to even beable to break even so that they can donate the proceeds to charity.

I will be there on Sunday…going to the Zelie flashlights on Saturday. The rain better stay away

yea i agree, but from what the weather people are saying its supposed to be a rain free weekend. of course we all know how well the weather people in pittsburgh predict the weather.

i will be there sunday afternoon sometime

just got back from the few events that we had tonight. a few exhibition drag races, about 20 show cars and 10 or so race cars, plus a pgh. stunt bike crew was down there, and will be joined tomorrow by the star boys. it was an ok night. but i think that tomorrow its gonna be huge.

The timing is tough to get people down there on a Friday night. I was up at the Wexford cruise, the place was packed as usual. Tomorrow you have flashlight drags competing with the racing at Heinz field on Saturday, but hopefully they will have a good turn out. I enjoyed racing down there when they held the event. That was my 87 Mustang 347 Stroker…miss that car…shoulda put the twin turbo on and kept it…

i’ll be there tomorrow

yea thats what ive been telling everyone down there, that tonight and saturday will be ruff with the other less expensive or even free events that are going on, but that hopefully sunday will blow up and be huge. im hoping that by next year ill have a new turbo on my car and then maybe it will be worth running down there. but this year ill just be hanging out.

I’m gonna go on sunday.

fuck PRP and the crooks. they make money off the actual track to lower the price for this. also for the charity it was cool to do the idea but for a damm street racer, sorry not the greatest idea. but the thought of it going to someone killed yes good but cause he died racing his car in the city shouldnt be a charity

also your paying 40 for a 1/4 of the actual 1320 so it should be a 1/4 of the cost to run. not 2 times the amount for alot less.

not 1/8 mile?

yeah i think quiks math is just a little fucked up, im pretty sure its 1/8
