It is really rare for one to get blown up by an rpg… IRRC has to be like a really lucky shot from lower than the tank and up into the rear grille…even then it only might disable it.

there is one major downside…todays war in Iraq/Afghanistan.
IED > TROPHY
Which is the main weapon used by insurgents…or tank mines, there are plenty of them laying around from the Gulf War (ask me how I know).
They just need to adapt that technology to be able to find IED’s.
