it says he broke an axle, but it looks pretty clear to me that some sort of hose or other thing containing fluid failed and hosed down the PS drive wheel.

big daddy also runs an auto trans, chances are while on the trans brake, the pressure in the trans cooler may have become too great and the cooler or a line split.
