“That’s Curtis’ T/A. He was tuning the car and someone else was driving. Lost control and went backwards into a tree. Probably the only thing that saved the car from splitting was the rear end. The guys are okay though.”

drew that is crazy!

(videos on page 3 of thread on ls1 tech)

there are 2 videos link on LStech, first one shows the guy hammering on it in traffic and somebody pulling into his lane and the second one shows all the damage to the car. Sucks for the owner, but it just shows why street racing is a bad idea.

Lucky he hit that tree and not one of those trucks

I posted that second video. I am kidcamaro.

if you look, there was no tree…I believe he did hit one of those trucks.

I would guess pretty damn good with a engine bay like this!

I have a small update: Solid Tech’s (local abq car) car, losing it’s dump tube at the track. The bumper is caving in because he didn’t have time to make a new bumper support before Texas. This car has had a hell of a week, the transmission broke and they yanked it, rebuilt it, and got it running again in like a day. It’s best time so far has been 8.8x@164, qualifying 1st in the Street class.

What kind of FI unit is that?

only turbos run wastegates…

so the answer is, Turbo!

probably a 106mm precision

I love how far forward they have the radiator sitting. Gives me some ideas… That I will never afford to act on.

there is definitely a tree there. Look closer. Small to do that much damage thou!

there is a skinned tree there man , if he hit one of the trucks they wouldnt be in a straight line

if there was no bumper reinforcments in the car it would do that .

yah in the description I posted above the pic it says the shop didnt have time to build reinforcements in the bumper before the races

i was talkin bout the t/a . the camaro shouldnt be doin that . i dont have em in mine and i have seen others without em and they dont fold like that

lol oh word
