I got my hands on a cabon fiber wing from an indycar…
Thinking about putting it on the lotus, for form and function. Obviously, it was not designed for this application, but i really like the look of the wing… so i would incorporate heim joints that would allow adjustment of the attack angle, i have access to face pressure sensors and would adjust the angle to obtain maximum normal force.
are you going just for looks or do you think you really need one? i would say drive the car a bit first … find out how the ass end feels driving at high speeds.
for me the ass end dosen’t start feeling loose untill i hit about 135 ish depending on windspeeds … and the times i’ve ever gone that fast are pretty few and far between.
bottom line on what i say … drive it see how it feels at high speeds. then make a desision.
EDIT: as far as looks go. you could pull it off if you needed it to. but i don’t like the way it looks at all.
