i hit a deer this morning on my way to work and did some major damage . from what i could see i need both headlight assemblies both fog lights a new grill ,bumper cover , hood, both fenders, the radiator is pushed into the engine and the rad support was cracked at the bottom and mangled at the top . the supports from the rad support to the fenders are bent the passenger door wont open and there is a ding in the piller… i owe somewere aroung 7500 on the car, will this be enough damage to total out the car?
Wow sorry to see this (unless you are sick of the car). If you tweaked the A pillar so that the door won’t open I’d say you have a real good chance of being totalled.
did the rad blow too? my car was like that when i wrecked it and my damage was around 7 grand. they want 70% repair cost of what its worth to total it out.
i agree its an ez fix but im not the one fixing it. after i called my insurance company they had the car flat bedded to a chevy dealer to get an estimate and see if it would be worth fixing due to the cost of parts and the cost of labor at the chevy body shop… i have a 100 dollar deductable so i figure instead of fixing it myself send it away.
