how fast u plan on goin with ur truck
id like to get it as fast as possible goin all motor. im thinking eventually rebuild the motor with all new internals and new heads, maifold , throttle body, etc. i mean, its a truck, so obviously its never gonna be able to outrun trans ams and mustangs, but if i could pull it into the mid 12s, i would be ver very happy, and to be quite honest, i think if the truck is set up and tuned right, its possible to get mid 12s with no spray and no form of forced induction. but we’ll see. I like the R/T…its something different
what happened is they took the car in on trade, and they realize it has extra value, so instead of just sending the shitbox to auction, they put it out front hoping some collar popping HS kid would go … “whoa, ws6, mommey i want, its cheap”
and they make maybe a grand more then if they just auctioned it
but if they detailed the fuck out of it top to bottom, and put all new tires on it, they might get stuck with something they cant get their money out of … because its the middle of winter …
they SHOULD borrow the wheels off another firebird / camaro on the lot to let people test dive the ws6, and just say “these are borrowed wheels tires because the right tires are on backorder” or something … that way people can safely testdrive it while some pos v6 camaro sits in back on blocks
a fast truck still cant beat the feeling of driving a real Muscle car though. i got out of it for a few years and regretted it the whole time. so i went and got me a badass muscle car.
i know the previous owenr of this car… he traded it in for a brand new impala ss the car was in a accident but was fixed and re-painted

ya the driver was stupid and hit the gas to the floor making a turn onto the blvd right next to bk there… he went over the fire hydrant and hit a pole and then rested on the grass leaking shit everyware… it was pretty funny cause he had the car for only 5 days

it doesnt matter to them- just like HotRodKid said, some 17 year old rich ass ‘collar-popping’ high school kid will see it and get mommy and daddy to shell out the cash for it and he will be too stupid to ever figure out that the thing was smashed. and i would assume the dealer would kno that it was smashed cuz if they were smart the would CarFax every car that goes though there. but anyway, if they don’t kno it, they r gonna find out when they call me back to see if i’m still interested. if they don’t kno, id almost like to see the look on thier faces when they find out! i’m sure the car was rebuilt very well, but still, the fact of driving a car that was smashed up that bad and rebuilt just does not sit too well with me. there will be other WS6s to come my way and eventually i will find the right one
besides, i’m trying to work a deal with SSBC right now about a fully custom brake job on the R/T…and thats all im saying about that. the rest im keeping on the low and y’all r just gonna have to wait untill spring to see the results.

who did you talk to at SSBC about doing a kit? Im gonna guess Tom? Just asking cause it’s highly unlikely they will drop current projects to do just a single kit. Trust me I asked about it today to see if they could do a custom setup for my cobalt while i was at work today and Dan(r&d) said it was very unlikely they would have time to ever do a custom setup, unless of course it’s for a magazine/promotion or something of that nature.

yeah i work at Stereo Advantage and we dio a ton of work for them and we have a very good rapport with Mike Jonas, the owner, and i talked to him directly. he seemed very interested in the porject, and I am incontace with him, however, the ‘deal’ is still in the works and nothing has been promised yet, so i dont want to say anymore.
Did anyone else see that as “we have a very good rapport with MIKE JONES”?
ya, he also said they would use my cobalt to “develop” the brake kit as well. We see how far that got me, o well nothing’s free I don’t really care. It’s just that he seems to tell people a little more than he delivers sometimes.
