I’ve got a 94 jimmy with a screwed 4L60E transmission and i have what i believe to be a 700R4 transmission(the tag is no longer attached) from a 88/89 s-10/tahoe and i am wondering if they can be swaped with little or no problems

4l60e is an updated 700r4 its just got a few things “updated” and its electronically controlled, hence the “e”
But as tpgsr said. no. get one outta a junkyard if ya can. 4l60e’s were literally GM’s main tranny, they went into everything from s-10’s to corvettes.

i dont have the money to get it rebuilt.
i was hoping there was some sort of conversion kit to make a 700R4 work with what i have, but it doesnt seem that way
any ideas or suggestions?
buy a rebuild kit, and rebuild it yourself. Search the interweb for a detailed how to. It isn’t that hard
