found this when surfing the net. its an a31…2jz-gte motor. no dyno numbers were listed.
ya i got the magazine with it in it. makes like 500-600hp somewhere around there
it’s a good demo car for a shop, but impractical.
lol no shit… kind of cool
reminds me of mike morans quad turbo camaro
ummm kind of a low HP output isn’t it? well maybe if it’s not the typical 2JZ up and down power curve it owuld be worth it … is there a dyno of it anywhere guys?
judging by the size of the turbo’s i don’t think peak hp numbers were what they were after, i bet that setup has like ZERO lag. kinda cool
how did they make the intake manifold attached to them…looks like they used headers and attached em to the turbos:gotme: thats wicked sweet though.
inline 6 = 6 exhaust ports / 3 turbos = 2 exhaust ports per turbo.
ex. 4 banger with 2 turbos
8 cyl with 4 turbos.
in the article it says he wasnt going for all out power he just wanted it to be “unique and different”
8 turbos > 3 turbos
The 3 turbo thing is pretty cool. It must spool pretty quick with those little turbos. That has to sound cool.
I was just gonna post something about that car. I remember reading about it in Hot Rod (the '57).
^more pics of car Jay? that looks, interesting.
Makes 700HP at 13psi. Strictly show.
The dark section on the side of the car that follows the fin line of the body is CF BTW.
yea, figured it was show. lol. looks like a nice job.
Long ago I saw some of the progress shots. It was unbelievable the amount of piping that is running around that engine. I don’t remember what engine that actually is. Based on the engine shot on the web site, it looks like its a big block or a newer small block. The exhaust ports are evenly spaced.
I’d rock it.
EDIT: NM, the website says its an LS1.
wow that quad turbo is hot
too bad theres 8 haha:)
shit i’d rock both of these outfits, but only for show - cruise cars. though, instant spool would be nice :naughty:
