Thats my entire point. I dont even know the guy personally but would hate to see that happen.

Furthermore, with all the press and what not these days… wouldnt it suck if something happened and negative nancy’s ran with it and said something like “LVD allowed this to happen” or “Local car hot rod shop builds unsafe cars”. Or LVD gets sued by his parents who are stuck with the credit card bills after the kid dies from a wicked crash. Shit happens in this world, thats why we have rules, and they should be followed and enforced. It honestly has very little to do with this one car staying safe, it has alot to do with respect to the builders, the tech inspections, the tracks, the track owners, the officials, etc.

if it crashes you will be!!! We all pay insurance dont we? You are paying the tracks insurance when you sit in the stands or pull into the pits. You pay gas to get to the track, and what if after an incident when they used to let you slide through tech they say hit the road and dont let you run? Wasted time and money right there. What happens when you line up next to him and he takes you out and you get hurt? He wasnt supposed to be on the track, so your insurance will go after the track hardcore! Worse yet the track closes. now you are paying MORE to go father away.

I know this is all a far cry, but my argument is more to do with respect to the sport and the people running it.
