  1. UB student
  2. Safety course (like 1 hour, general walkthrough)
  3. Valid reason to use shop (you are doing this for a design project, right  )

ok… how do u get to this place… what building… is there a specific time i should do it?

thanks julie

Jarvis 105

anytime between 8am and 4 pm

your my hero  thanks… hmm now which design class is this gonna be for???

Is there anywhere on campus that has a CNC lathe? I have an arc project that it would be quite handy for…

CNC  this is UB.

this is interesting. i need to look into this as well…should def come in handy.

Even ECC has CNC lathes and mills WTF!

ok i went to the lab and i got shutdown… i went to the one in fronzac…they told me the lab in jarvis was strictly for engineering majors… can anybody confirm this… im going to try to go there in about 10 minutes

We have non majors in SAE that use it all the time, but then again, they are in SAE.

what should i say when i go there… think if i “was” or PLAN to be in engineering i can get in?

EDIT:: i tried to get the team a cbr 600 rectifier… “im a team player” lol

ECC has a great machining program that I have tried to promote in the past.

anybody in engineering mind accompaning me to the lab later… if you have access previously i seem to think i will have an easier time getting in… thanks

i have off and will be on campus from 2-4 if anybody could please help me it would be appreciated…

btw when i go to jarvis 105… what sshould i expect… a person at a desk? just go in and do what i gotta do? is there supervision?
thanks

Just walk in like you know what you are doing, grab a pair of safety glasses to the right. Just say you wanted to check out the formula or baja car.

I’d go and hold your hand but I have a lab then.

awww thanks… lol… i guess i will do that… i should only be about 20 minutes… unless i get antsy and wanna make it pretty…
