liddell hasn’t looked great lately either (lost 3 of his last 4). 205 is stacked, so I wasn’t that surprised with this matchup. Shogun is still young enough (27) to become a champ and they have to stick him up against some big names. Still an odd matchup at this point.

Honestly, I don’t know. Silva I think is a better fighter but it’s only a matter of time before he gets caught or makes a mistake and it cost’s him the fight. I’m too on the fence with GSP having the tools in his tool box to be able to beat Silva.

that’d never happen. Silva couldn’t drop to 170 and Penn wouldn’t be effective at 185. I would love to see gsp vs silva and see silva destroy gsp. The reach advantage would be staggering (I assume).
gsp is a seriously skilled fighter and, just like silva at 185, he has pretty much dominated all fighters in his weight class. Both these guys need to lose in order to open up the door for others. Having two completely dominate fighters in two weight classes almost hurts the UFC more than it helps.
That’d be typical of Silva though. He destroys his opponents. I’m waiting for Silva to get beat on by someone.
