Apparently they got sued for doing this, there was an announcement on the PA system there, saying what they were doing was illegal, since they knew thousands of people would show up, and they blocked off all 3 ways into the complex, so they pulled over the wrong guy, and sued i guess? thats what they were saying anyways, not sure what holds true there.
Went right through. Seems like they were looking for no inspection, no front plate, no registration. If you are too stupid to have OBVIOUS things like this up to date on your car you are deserving of a ticket. Not sure what they target on bikes, just speaking for the car crowd.

this is exactly why i wont even go anymore, well at least drive…i went to the first one this year and got stuck at a checkpoint for at least an hour…they ran every vin on every panel in my car to see if anything was stolen(its not) and wasted an hour of my time for nothing. oh and they didn’t ticket me for no front plate or limo tint…
they take a car event, and try to make money off of it…no thanks i’ll pass on that one
got there around 8pm just regular traffic no checkpoints or stop. either way my car is bone stock lol
I thought S&R had friends in the Sheriff’s Department? They must have known about it. Have they been talking about it on the radio? Maybe they’re taking a cut from the police 
It was the troopers that had the check point. My inspection was up on the 67 and they waved me right by. Still BS I probably wasted a few gallons of gas waiting there.

They do, but certain people in the department go for the money grab when it comes to this event. Not DTRP or 103.3’s fault.
But if your car isn’t illegal, then nothing to worry about. It’s lame to have multiple checkpoints, but what can you do?
