This is just a test fit. once I have the mock up I will be able to get the plumbing all set up then finish the welds on the flange and clean it up.
the turbo is a KKK k27 .

for 30 years old it is clean. the oil drips are irritating but gotta live with them on an air cooled engine.

yours is the seoncd cleanest one ive seen. first one was only so clean because we put a brand new motor in it. colossal waste of like 14g’s if you ask me.
I was looking into a 3.6 swap but the price was $16k way too much. instead I made the stock a stroked 3.3L. without the turbo it was fast. I can’t wait ti finish this on Friday.

I wanted to stay with what Porsche put in their cars. If I do not get the power I want I will 1st put in the second K27 then I will think about changing over. However if Porsche won more Le Mans than anyone with the KKK set up on this car. I want to give it a chance.

yeah I gotta say, triple-k for the gay. there have been a LOT of turbo tech improvements since then but whatever, you have it shrugs most 951 guys “upgrade” to k27s and are fucking DUMB for it, since you pay more for less, but oh well…
and even if Mike’s a cranky bitch, lifting in a 930 is just plain silly/deadly/bad-idea territory. to say the least that video was not a shining example of “how to drive” 
(but hey we all do dumb shit on video, trust me I’m no saint there haha)

Good luck on the turbo swap. I know tons of guys that restore cars with OEM manual drum brakes, removing aftermarket discs at high cost to do so.
