upstate races you'd like to see

was that s10 the primer one with big slicks in the back? If so, I saw the owner working on it today and he wasn’t looking too happy. He slammed the hood pretty hard when I was driving by.

yep that would be ed lol

so basically the TA runs 9’s? whats the trap speed estimated to be? or well… what was the s10’s trap at 10.6??

haha, i thought so…he lives in the trailer park 5 minutes from my house. That truck is serious business

Tough to say swift, the truck hasnt seen the track on this setup, and jays car will be down for a little bit. Should go good though.

so can you make a guess, i would imagine they get a shitload of traction, so insane 60foots… trap mid 130’s? or

I would say more near the 140+mph mark.

tonys Z06 went 10.8 @ 135, yes it had traction issues but that gives you the general idea of where these cars should be trapping.

A lot of variables. My buddy went 11.002 @ 122 in a 3/S and I ran against a big block that went 10.9 @ 121. Insane powerband.

Like i said its tough to guess with the TA, i know with alot of the cars that have been run where it should be around but im going to keep the cat in the bag. If the owner wants to release that info thats on him, im not peein in his soup lol

shit mike went 10.9…at 142!!!

So i can’t get in it?

oh and my dad said he’d build your LS1 for you if you got someone to take it out of the car.

its not a LS1…he said he has a Iron block…that defeats the whole LSx motor.

either way, regardless of what motor it is, my dad said he’d do it

from what ive read its just going to be a rebuild of the current setup… which is plenty.

^ ah yup, maybe a lil less c.i

and maybe a little more boost :mwahaha

Doubt it, it was hard enough keepin that thing straight on the current setup lol. More boost wouldnt be soo good untill the chassis gets setup right. But yea it would be sick nasty.

Its an easy build… the complication is time and a 2 post lift for a few days…and your dads swamped at the moment…but I will keep it in mind! I’ll get u access.

Okay… lots of good guessing going on.

#1, it is NOT a 9 second car… watch the video…took over 11 seconds to run the truck.
#2, Its a LQ9 6.0 iron block, bored .035 over with a 4" stroke, making it a 409ci. Same as LSX series motor, just diff accessories as a stocker, and, um…iron.
#3, I do not plan to put the same shortblock in the car for one reason…if I just build another, i can do the swap in one or two days, then spend a few night re-installing exhaust, turbo kit, fuel atc… and rebuild the iron block to sell or have in stock. I’m pretty sure it was cam bearings that went… so the fix should be easy. It’s all forged and solid…but oil pressure was never great from initial build…I believe the cam bearings were bad from start. The company that built the lower end built 11 6.0’s in a period of a few months, all are dead, all due to cam bearings, I knew or suspected I was on bought time for a while now.
#4 I will likely go with another iron block or an aluminum ls2 6.0… just not sure I will stroke it…turbo motors dont need it.
Lastly, I was running 11lbs of boost, that motor has seen 22 lbs with the old kit / I’m just happy with 11 with this kit.

theres the facts! just need a month or so to get time to do it.

so your saying its a 10 second car, in your opinion… and it would trap rougly what? i seemed to miss that part :lmao
