URGENT: Need some simple machining done Friday

I’m in Rochester and already posted on Roclife, but some people are here and not there, and I’m kind of desperate.

Long story short, I bought an STi knuckle/bearing/hub retrofit kit for my car. As part of the process they drill holes into the hub in the 5x100 bolt pattern. Because the STi bolt pattern is larger, and it uses a larger rotor in general, the hub face is too large to fit into the rotor hat on anything but STi rotors. So I need the hub machined down about .5" radius.

Here’s a pic:

This needs to become:

Oh and I REALLY want this done Friday so I can stop bumming rides around. :frowning: Anyone got a hookup or recommendation?

I could do it for you this weekend if you can wait, ill be at dunnville friday tho

I would love you so hard. But aren’t you in Buffalo?

wow i didnt even look where you were lol.

yeah well if all else fails and you want to make the trip out…

a machine shop will need to do this because it will obviously need to be balanced. it can probably be done in a lathe. try oddy’s

I have a lathe and mill in my basement…

not to mention I also work at a factory with a machine shop im able to use

I took it to the machine shop at RIT, a bunch of professors have it and that will hopefully work out.

After watching the gears in an engineer’s mind turn, he decided the best way to do it would be on a turn table. I’ll report how it turns out.

hope you have better luck then I had. Maybe leann knows but that guy that was there last summer sucked.

What was his name? The guy that did mine was like, a head honcho. 40 year old dude.
