Vadim's Audi A6(updated 8/10/08 with new wiring photos on last page)

heh-heh, okay. if u say so guys. i REALLY dont know squat about drag racing or how to estimate a car’s speed. so what do you say i’ll follow one of you down to the valley in spring sometime and u can give me some pointers? i’ll at least have a slip with a number on it, ya know?

sounds good. i can’t wait for opening day at the valley :banana

Congratulations Vadim, sounds very meaty :thumb

What else is done to it?

It’s auto or manual?

when is opening day? how much is it to attend? do i have to have my own helmet? how many runs do i get?

its chipped, APR using the 93 program currently(well, no need to go to stock or 91), K&N intake filter and exhaust, no more go fast mods. the tranny is tiptronic, so i can redline it if i have to. im not sure when to shift it tho if i go to the valley. tips, anyone?

This is the link to LVD’s scheduel page…

Since it is conviniently left blank, nobody is sure when it opens.

With the speed you’re going you won’t need a helmet, and if I recall correctly it’s 20$ to run.

Runs are depended on how many people are there, and how many of them will crash hit the wall and other stuff. How do people still mess up going straight is beyond me.

Your optimal shift point should be at your peak HP, that you can determine either on a personal dyno chart, or if you don’t have it, find one online of a stock car, or even just look at magazine numbers when they say your peak HP comes in. Shifting at peak will maximize your transmittion gears, letting you stay in the power band at highest HP.

Good launch is going to be tricky with tiptronic. But expect to get about 3 or 4 runs in.

well, i went once in the middle of the season and got 8 runs in… few weeks later and i got 3 then a week after i got 4 so its average 4-5. i would just put it in sport and powerbrake and put it in “d” let the tranny do its job. there really is no room for driver error in an automatic. i’m sure u could try using the tip but it will probably slow you down since the shifts are slow as shit. well thats what i would do if i had an auto.

post up on audizine and tell em your mods and ask what you should be able to run… you could also delete the seats, spare tire and jack and shit. at the motor you should be making about 310 hp. i think you should be good for a low 14 and MAYBE i mean MAYBE high 13. but i’ve never been in your car so i don’t know. but good luck lol.

im not goin to strip the car. i wana run it as is, “heavy as shit” mode :lol i want to try 3 modes and get 3 runs in. D, S and tiptronic, just to see how it runs in each, im curious about that. I think 3-4 will do it for me.

s will get you down the track the fastest.

should i try tiptronic?

its up to you, id try all… d, s, tip.

Go to the track rental day :thumb

Btw any new pics/mods?

nothing new yet. brakes will be next. i’ll get the slotted ones and take pics of em on

Brakes are done. pics on the first page

you should try going down the track in “R” that stands for race, right?

Im guessing hmid-high 14

14.8@9x
