I’d love to see the look on the instructor’s face when you get sideways in it, then the ensuing rage from the instructor.
They’ve probably got some sort of emergency kill switch. Or brake pedal like a driver’s ed car.
I think it mentioned some control over the horsepower…like a governor for people who aren’t showing much aptitude.

Top speed varies according to student performance and the limits set for each program. The coach in the passenger seat does have a little bit of control on how fast the car goes. If the instructor sees that you are not following his instructions, he has the ability to lower the horsepower on the car.
