I just got around to ripping apart a r32 subframe that I’ve had sitting around for awhile, and when I popped apart the pumpkin, I was mildly taken aback to see this…
I realize its an LSD of some type…but if someone could help me narrow down exactly what it is, that would be amazing. I feel like a complete noob asking this, but I have had trouble finding actual pictures of diff’s to make a positive identification.

irc, GTR’s have the clutch type LSD’s.
i should of kept it
there will be a number stamped on the ring. divide the big number by the small number to get the ratio. This will narrow down the possible diff it could be.
That first pic. in one of the holes there should be a round peice of metal. If there is a diamond around it it is a 2 way clutch type. If there is only half of a diamond I believe it is a 1.5 way.
I could be completely off on this but that is my understanding right now.
