This should get interesting with the range and variety of (older) cars we will see.
Question is - what was your favorite car that was available for production as a new car on your birth year?
Answer for my choice is pretty clear as in 1987 one of my favorite cars of all time was introduced.

I think it’s fair to say that I don’t like any of the cars from my birth year.
1990 had nothing to offer…the good Lamborghini Diablo didn’t come until the late 90s, the McLaren F1 wasn’t introduced yet, the Bugatti EB-110 was just a sketch, and the Jaguar XJ220 was still in pre production.

Isnt that E30 M3 territory? Would be my pick.
1983 Porsche 944 - First year of the 944, 2.5L of fury LOL
Tough choice between the '90 ZR1 & '90 NSX. Both ahead of their time IMO

I’m feeling pretty old now…But here goes…
1957 Mercedes 300SL gullwing coupe. It was the last year for it. Truly an icon.
1957 Corvette. 2nd year for the V8, first year offered with fuel injection, and last year before the quad headlight C1
1957 T-bird. Last year for the 2 seat bird. IMHO, an absolutely beautifully designed vehicle that still looks great!

Old people ITT.
For me, it’d be either:
Ferrari F40 (picture seen above)
Porsche 959
RUF CTR “Yellow-bird”
All of them were supercars way ahead of their time.
well 88 wasn’t exactly an awesome year for domestic cars, but I did infact own a grey 88 IROCZ through high school. Still have the car waiting for a resto one day.
