Cars from the late 80's early 90's that still look good today

Post up some pictures of cars you think aged well. When you see most stuff from this time period you go “wow, that’s definitely from the early 90’s” and not in a good way. There are some rare examples of cars that still look good today.

I’ll start.

Insert NSX picture here.

Agree on all your posts JayS.

NSX for sure.

And obv. since I’m partial, I’ll say the Esprit.

So many more I can think of. Will add as work allows.

Can’t believe I didn’t think of the NSX. That picture with the two of them on the cement/grass was a background on my computer for a long time in the mid 90’s.

I’ll give you the Esprit when it’s headlights are down. The moment they pop up it starts screaming 1991.

Could you even set a desktop background in Win 3.1 and Win95?

does having a soft spot for old EF Hatches make me a fggt ricer? It is what it is.

Definitely could in 95.

Edit:
Scirocco

EF hatches, DSMs and Foxbody stangs… not so much.

I can’t think of a single American car from that time period I think still looks good and modern today. Hoping someone reminds me of something I forgot. I liked my fastback Fiero for how it drove and looked, but it’s style definitely looks “80’s” today.

90-94 964 Porsche 911’s…such a classic design and are still worth a good amount of money (decent ones are in the $40k range…Turbos are in the $60K+ Range)

Jaguar XJ bodies are always classic too

I agree with the ones above except the talon…never was a fan of the actual looks of DSM cars…just the performance.

Fair enough, same photo then, HL’s down…

I think you need to limit it to pre 95. I think there are a lot of OBD2 cars that still look modern/good.

Out of all these, I think the FD looks the best. The aesthetic design of those cars was way beyond its time.

I said early 90’s but I’ll edit the first post to say pre-95 to make it clearer.

E30’s for sure. I don’t know what it is about 1g DSM’s but they are my favorite cars of all time.
