move them to another host:
dreamhost.com
aplus.net
Etc…
Godaddy was just offering a year for $.99 with coupon code.
I use 1and1.com and they are really good.
Great tech support - 24 hours, chat, email, and telephone.
I have a Linux website. and there is a SALE!!!

I have the home package.
i’ve heard horrible things about 1and1… however for just domain name reg’s i don’t think it really matters, go with whatever is cheap.
I have my name servers registered with Yahoo which suck.
How much does it cost to transfer to another registar
With all my years dealing with them I have only had one issue, it was a month ago, their server took a dump and my site was down for a little while. But they had it up and running soon and gave me a discount.
I have my name servers registered with Microsoft Live Small Business. FREE hosting.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
THAT FUCKING SUCKS!
I use mydomains.com its 9 bucks per domain per year… but I REALLY like their setup and email notifications.
I’ve always used namecheap or godaddy. No problems and they are priced cheap.
I registered Nyspeed.org with godaddy no issues
i use networksolutions for work, mydomain for personal… never had a problem with either. Netsol’s panel is really nice which is why i use it for work stuff since we have a lot of shit to manage.
That is also a good question… I feel it should be free… just out of curiousity what does yahoo charge if you are hosting through them?
I know when I had a domain registered through godaddy, I just waited. then it went through a redemption period… and blah blah blah… after 6 months… I was able to register it again. godaddy has always left a sour taste in my mouth from such problems.
Obviously this isn’t something your clients can’t do. but please steer from godaddy.
edIt: I also don’t like seeing godaddy tagged to the registration…
when I would rather see…

Its up for grabbs
UBRF.com is a premium domain, they want $4,022.00
I dont use them for hosting.
Signed up for a few domains with their 1.99 special a few years ago, renewed last year for 9.99 which was fine, and then now they want to charge me 35 bucks so F them.
I dont host with them. I have my own server cluster in Phili that I use for my hosting business.
I might use namecheap.com. carry over existing registration time for $6.99 fee and free whois security for a year on transfers along with a year free SSL certificate.
Any 3 or 4 letter combination is probably already taken, or is a premium domain. There is money to be made in buying and selling domains.
