I’d spend $5-6k on a clean Mustang or F-Bod vert, and use the leftover for tax/title and repairs/mods. A $6k Miata would be a blast to drive, as long as you don’t base your manhood on what you drive. Nothing like a cruise with the top down on a warm summer night. 
A bike is always a ton of fun if you’re not, ah, lets say under-averse to risk.
