Basically I’m looking to upgrade to a PCI-Express card… which means I need a new MOBO… and a new CPU… so why not just upgrade entirely?

If you have questions, ask, I should have answers.
You have to think about the case as well, when upgrading to a new Mobo/Processor. If the mobo won’t fit the case, you’re fucked. I had that problem when I built this POS last year.
As far as the video card is concerned, if hes buying a decent video card thats Express, it will run 350-400 bucks for the newer, amazing shit. Mobo would have to be processor compatible, and nowadays those can run from 60 bucks to 180 bucks depending on the bling factor (DFI LANParty shit, for example). So, right there, if he was to go higher end with both its 600 bucks.
Jack, does that beast have Hyperthreading? If you plan on selling it, I may be interested.
Gigabyte makes some mean Mobos. Product loyalty is big, and I love AMD, but HT is a quality component to a decent processor. An AMD64 would be better, but its all about the money situation. I wish we had some decent stores up here for computer components. Down South, they were everywhere. You could get sick deals much better than newegg or mwave or any online site. Argh.
Well… I’m only gonna get like 25-30 bux for the monitor… the mouse keyboard are useless to most people. Same applies for the mic, and headset. These are all things I plan on upgrading… and things I don’t need 2 of. So for someone who just wants a killer computer without doing any work… this would be a good option for them.
I’m looking for an LCD, better, multi-function keyboard and probably wireless everywhere. I’m pretty sure I can get a decent deal on a MOBO/CPU combo… and by the time I’m willing to part with this system, I will have the $$ saved up for a decent machine. Right now I don’t have a reason to upgrade… it runs everything I have flawlessly. I was just testing the waters cause I know a couple people that wouldn’t mind having my comp.
lol ur idea and my idea of killer are wayyyyy offf man
anyhoo—check newegg u can get a amd64 for a good price and an asus to go with it, talk about a fast cpu…weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, it will pull up ur porn in no time
its not only that, that vid card u have is limiting ur eye candy a hell of alot, throw a gforce 6800GT in there and prepare to be amazed on what you were mssing with the ATI
