capture audio… I will be doig it over a serio cord… i have a little personal recorder that i have to get on to a pc…

do you mean, like streaming audio? If so… try a program called WMRecorder (I believe thats what it’s called)
Again for streaming:
You can go into the volume controls
File->properties
Select recording
Check “Wave”, or “What U Hear”
Click ok
Check the box under way
Use your favorite recording program. :tup:
Lets you save any played sound. Under Windows that is.
just a chord from the headphone jack on the recorder to the “line in” jack on your audio card or motherboard. Radio Shack has chords… buy the shortest one.
Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment -> SoundRecorder
File -> Properties… make sure its set for 44khz or CD Quality
Hit the Record button… press play on your tape player…
Record a 15 second sample and listen to it…make sure the audio levels are good…
if not adjust volume on the player…
Sound recorder can only record 60 seconds of audio at a time however. Beyond that I would recommend goldwave (Free, with limits). Would allow you to record it and save right to the format of your choice.
