Not to break the fight up between all of you e-gangstas, but my DSM was only down this summer when I tore it apart. It never “broke down” on me, with the exception of a $3 hose that split once. If you put time into it, it’ll run fine.

take all the big pool business money you’ll be making and put a 4G63 into a RWD Corolla… well under 2600lb…

Someone’s doing it right now, actually. A '73 Colt chassis is being used. The rear end is almost done, and I believe the motor is getting there as well.

If i remember correctly Buschur put a 4G into a CRX awhile back

i mean on a production level. If the evo weighed 500lbs less and was RWD and a coupe, and it looked cool, they would sell a bazillion of them. And the official company car will undoubtably be a 5 series BMW. Whether the car will come with those nice little “M” badges will depend on how successful the business is.

Your power steering rack is in the way. The tunnel for an awd driveshaft is a little too awkard for a rwd transand. Dsm rear ends arent the tightest box of crackers on the shelf.It could be done. ANYTHING can be done. But why?

you’re right, i should probably acually do something with it huh, instead of getting headers, building an exhaust with an h-pipe, wiring up gauges, fixing the interior, putting new seats in it, finding/buying/installing a new rear end, getting a new driveshaft for it, all new bearings and seals in the axles, wheels, tires, fixing the tranny, getting a carb that works and putting in all new engine gaskets like i’ve been doing the last 2 months maybe i should actually do something to it huh. :ugh2:
