I never new that. So I was bored and looked it up. I found this pretty interesting in the article about the other person claiing to have invented the split 3 years after Strikler’s did it in 1904…
The town [Wilmington Ohio] is home to the annual Banana Split Festival, an event to celebrate the split’s invention by Wilmington restaurateur E. R. “Brady” Hazard in 1907.
According to their story, Hazard held a contest for best new dessert, and his own banana split took first place.
Now how in the fuck are you going to have a self run contest that you are the winner of
