Anyone know where I can pick up one on a Sunday morning?
try Harbor Freight or Tractor Supply
Dont you mean 2" to 1 1/4" though? I dont think Ive ever seen a 3" on a car or truck and 2" is the common one for trucks and 1 1/4" is for cars and small suv’s.
Got one
Lol pjb, big boy trucks use 3"
Tractor supply for this kind of stuff always. I know you got one already though.
Jellies, all 3/4 ton Chevy trucks have a 3" hitch. That goes back to at least 2000.
Ive never noticed that. Dodges have a 2" receiver and Im pretty sure Fords do too.
Dodge doesn’t make a real truck.
And one ton Fords have a three inch.
Ill have to check tomorrow what my E350 has if its got a hitch. I know its wired but Im not sure whats back there
I have an 2002 2500HD that came with a 2" receiver.
Really? Maybe it didn’t have the the tow package? Everyone i know with trucks between those years has the same thing.
No such animal. 1 ton Fords use Class V hitches with a 2.5" receiver and any towing supply carries a 2.5" to 2" adapter sleeve, however the sleeve reduces the weight rating of the hitch substantially.
Maybe i am thinking of 2.5" then. My uncle has the same as mine so i must be confused. Carry on
Depends on if it’s factory or aftermarket. I wasn’t saying a 3" doesn’t exist. Reese makes one with a 25k lb capacity. I was just pointing out the Ford 1 Ton comes with a 2.5".
I don’t think he’s changed anything honestly. It probably is 2.5 and i am just fucked up haha.
What the fuck kinda truck has a 3" hitch? Sounds like my kinda truck…
it was for my buddies 08 chevy 2500 diesel, he got it delivered saturday from TX, and we needed the adapter to tow that parts car over to my place sunday afternoon. he found one at tractor supply
I just checked my E350 and it doesnt even have a hitch on it. Its got the wiring and a tow package but no receiver.
My brother’s '05 Ram 2500 has a 2".
