Yeah for what I got this Zuma for it was worth it. I wanted a ruckus but like you said you pay for what you get. I don’t plan on streeting or lowering it, want ground clearance for having fun in my fields :excited
They do look pretty sweet all stretched out. Scooters are where it’s at.
Got the scooter all running & on the road. Took it out for it’s maiden voyage yesterday. Things were going well, had it up to 50 mph & was having a blast. Then 20 miles into my ride I stopped at the light over by the Glenville Walmart & it shut down. Pulled over, kicked it back over. Started right up so I let it run for a few minutes, took it off the stand & bam instantly died again. I had to call a buddy to drag it home. Looks like I need a clutch. So, in a few weeks I’ll order a performance clutch & final drive. Claims of 60 mph with this setup. See what happens.
No. The back wheel is locked up when dead either on or off the kickstand. So I’m just replacing everything. Final drive, clutch, all that good stuff in hopes of more mph lol.
Well due to a little rough patch I’ve been going through I’ve been having a hard time getting to sleep at night so to help blow off some steam I’ve been painting some parts for the little Zuma. Nothing major, just hand controls & the belt drive cover. May do the wheels black, not too sure yet. Parts will be ordered Thursday so hopefully I’ll have it back on the road within a week or so. Quick phone pics for now:
So my stage 6 clutch kit FINALLY comes in the other day. Got everything on, topped it off with a new NGK spark plug & new battery. Fired right up running with no problems. Took it out & ran fine. Today I decided to get back to using it for running around town. Took off to the Glenville Price Robber to grab a few things ran beautifully down there. Got going home & right as I was about to turn onto Onderdonk all of a sudden the engine just shuts off. Parked it, had to walk home thank god I only live on Bolt Rd & grabbed my brother & the Silverado & went to go get it.
Took the case off, everything was tight, belt didn’t come off or snap. Pulled the plug & checked for spark. Had spark. Threw a compression tester on there & got a impressive zero psi. So it appears the motor is shot…Great.
Currently doing research into doing a GY6 150cc swap. For now, it’s gonna sit in the garage & collect dust. :banghead:banghead:banghead
Kinda Paul, but its more like a really shitty and not cool car that someone would sink a lot of money into and never drive it. And even when it did work, it was still gayer than aids. Like an Olds Alero, Pontiac Sunfire or a penis colored BMW 3 series. (Just kidding Benny)
