Aren’t some commercials nationwide and some local?

There are rumors of a Sonic coming here… sooo good. At at one at myrtle beach a few years back.
i posted the article ages ago!!!
the rumors of sonic opening are true i know the family who is opening the franchise there is supposed to be 14 of them opening in the pittsburgh area
there’s an IHOP in Boardman OH, less than an hour from Pittsburgh.

i have been to that 1…not that bad of a ride
Waffle House would be nice too
they aren’t rumors… it was written in the newspaper months ago
Most programming has a mix of national/network and local breaks. Most networks sell national airtime in their programming. They can also allow local TV stations to sell airtime. For instance, CBS sells time nationally in CSI, Survivor, NFL, etc. KDKA also gets breaks to sell during CBS programming. However, any commercial you see during local newscasts is only sold by that particular station.
Most commercials in syndicated programs, like Seinfeld on Fox-53, are sold by the syndicate of the show. However, WPGH does get some time to sell locally as well.
Here at Comcast Spotlight we sell airtime in most Cable networks. The same holds true with the national/network and local breaks like I mentioned above. However, there are some networks we don’t insert on… like SPEED. All the commercials you see here in Pittsburgh are national spots.
Just adding my .2 in addition to the comment made before me:
Sonic’s are def. coming to the Pittsburgh and other western PA counties. ( like previously mentioned ) …and there food is YUMMY I can’t wait!
Next, there are TONS of commercials that I see for places that aren’t currently in the area. For instance, I remember about 5 yrs ago seeing commercials for Walgreens ( there wasn’t one for the longest time ) BUT its to provoke someones interest…weather to open one or to get the public wants/demands in advance.
Same things go for department stores and when they ask you for your zip code. They are just taking a census to find an area where the most people are traveling from, in means to open a store there.
well… you all knew this…but thanks for reading
