wikileaks discussion

i guess we cannot have this in the open off topic… to me it says we’ll need a canadian-only off topic at some point since a lot of the US guys are so sensitive to it.

that said, i am really very intrigued by wikileaks and need some place to share info and discuss it.

abnormally high in Pakistan.

TED video: Julian Assange was invited to interview at the most recent TED conference… Very interesting stuff about their impact in Kenya and Iceland.

I find it amusing how Obama was trying to hide simple information about how terrible this war is going from the American people. Not a SINGLE piece of the 90,000 documents threatens national security, yet the Obama admn insists on hiding it from the public. Foreign policy hasn’t changed one bit. There’s still secret military prisons, the patriot act, and Gitmo.

The new boss is starting to look a lot like the old boss.

edit: and I hope no one is actually surprised that the billions the US gives pakistan is going to terrorists. Regardless, the information is really interesting, and I’m glad organizations like wikileaks exist to expose government secrecy.
