we were down at the water front. roads where pretty bad there.
Wow was turtle creek a mess. Almost every road down there was flooded and closed including the tri boro. I took a cruise around the area around 1 and it was like offroading with all the mud and rocks across whole roads.
we only got the edge of the badness.
South Hills wasn’t too bad, thankfully.

first time i saw murray ave in sq hill underwater. water was rushing up over the curbs, giant eagle got water about 25ft in. lots of rain quickly with bad drainage will do that i guess.
this is the reason that sometimes living on a huge hill is nice. No flooding. However it sucks all the other times.
I watched the entire thing from my front porch. I could easily see the rotation centers forming before the news even reported them. It certainly was a killer light show, and I was just on the very edge of the storm, so I go no rain at all.
Heading into work this morning I saw piece of buildings missing in the Mt Oliver/Carrick area and debris everywhere.
it rained pretty good. but the creek still had about 5-6ft to go.
