:rofl

:lol Really paul?

I was just going off those wheels completely negate the fun part of that car. Offroads? OH NOES

and how many Subaru’s or other awd soccer mom mobiles actually leave pavement anyway?

thats a pretty damn solid deal for that car. Take the jank assed wheel of and you could probably sell them to some dumb ****** for their welfare check and recoup most of the cost of the car back

What in the FUCK?!

what the fuck is a moby g?

moby genitals instead of moby dick.

We take my girlfriend’s highlander (think lifted minivan with SUV-ish body that is based on a camry) off road pretty often. It does pretty well actually. Good enough for logging roads, snowmobile trails, the mud pit in glenville behind hannaford, and under power lines (stuff that might be a bit boring in a jeep, but is still fun for this).

The problem is usually the tires before the ground clearance or lack of articulation stops it.

paging keifer

How are those pits these days anyway? I havent been back there since '04 when I had my Blazer

Pretty fun last time I was there, couple decent mud holes (although those obviously depend on how recently it rained a lot), some hills. The center hump of the two-track on the way in is pretty high in some spots.

Was supposed to get some all-terrains on the highlander before this winter to get the awful yokohama hts tires off it so it doesn’t kill us this winter, but that fell through. Kinda bummed because I wanted to see how it did with real tires.

Anyways, back on track with the thread. Someone on another forum found this ad, I’ll just quote the whole thing so it stays up if the ad gets deleted. Based on wording, this guy actually doesn’t sound like your average craigslist retard.

Here’s everything that’s been done to the car. Car does have issues which are listed at the bottom. I’m selling it because I’m no longer doing car shows and have no interest in fixing it up. Vehicle has 110,000 miles on it. If interested make an offer. All offers will be considered but please no low ball numbers. I’ve put $20,000 into this car and I don’t expect to get anywhere near that back. Just take it into consideration. Feel free to email me with any questions.

Modifications:

• Coordinating graphics on the outside and inside.
• Custom exterior and interior paint job and custom vinyl interior work with matching floor mats!
• Seven TVs, including a Panasonic flip-out TV with built-in DVD player on board! Screen locations: One in each of the custom fiberglass visors, one in the dash, one in each headrest of the driver and front passenger seats, one in the roof for backseat viewing, and one in the trunk between the subwoofers.
• Nintendo 64 game console included with controllers.
• Panasonic CD player with two twelve inch JL Audio W3V3 subwoofers and a JL Audio 500-1 amplifier with a monster cable battery capacitor.
• Infinity 6in door speakers and JL Audio 6x9 rears.
• Ichibahn steering wheel and fiberglass dashboard/visors!
• Two gauge pillars on the interior of the car.
• Kaminari fiberglass hood and West Wing poly urethane body kit with matching wing on the rear of the car.
• 18-inch Limited chrome wheels wrapped in Nitto tires!
• Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs rides low to the ground!
• Tokico gas shocks!
• Lambo vertical door kits on driver and passenger side!
• Angel Eye head lights with euro tail lights!
• Alternator upgraded from 70 amps to 175 amps!
• Professionally color-matched suspension system!
• Four-to-one header with full exhaust system.

Multiple car show winner! Awards won:
Best Graphics at Hot Import Nights, Low Rider, and Slam Fest; numerous trophies in the car’s entry class.

Issues:

  • Driverside window recently came off track, doesn’t roll up all the way.
  • Passengerside window needs ground wire replaced. Tested with temporary wire didn’t have time to run new one.
  • Throttle control needs tuned. RPM’s are slightly higher than normal.
  • Key switch had a short that was draining the battery. All excess electronics were disconnected from the battery but are still in place. Switch needs replaced, will not start by turn-key. Remote Start is still functional.
  • Car was vandalized/broken into durring spring break of 2010. Few small dents and Lambo hinges were damages due to thieves opening the doors in the wrong direction. Lambo hinges are pricy to replace but stock hinges are $120 a set.
  • Speedometer needle broke off.
  • Back two tires are stock 14"s due to flats that I didn’t feel like replacing. I still have the 18" rims ready for new tires to put back on the car.

Most of these are minor issues that can be solved with a few hundred dollars. This car is perfect for someone who has the time to get it fixed up or even do it themselves. My time is worth more to me than the car is and I’m no longer interested in show cars which is why I haven’t tackled these issues myself. Again please don’t hesitate to ask questions, or request more photos. You can call or text me at 850-325-0252. If I don’t answer I’m probably at work so leave a message and I’ll call you back. I’m also always checking my email and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for reading.
