Selling my 1988 New York State Police SSP Mustang. It’s 1 of 40 used by the State Police in 1988 and is the only 1 of 3 left in the country. Fully restored and has original buck tags and State Police tags. The car runs/drives and looks like it just came off the assembly line.
The underneath is as nice as the exterior and the interior is original and like new. Real Decals/Radar/lighbar etc. This is the real deal!!! The only issues are the speedo stopped working last month.(Needs tailshaft gear) A/C system needs updating from original. Mileage is an original 122,000, with original engine/tranny. Other than that everything down to the brakes/rotors/calipers and wheel bearings are new. Great show car and investment.
Uhhh ive spent enough time driving real cop cars… Plus i can find a lot better things to spend 22,000 on rather than a Mustang with state trooper shit on it…
This has nothing to do with the thrad, but id figure id add… For the people that think the Crown Vics with the “Police Interceptor” badges on them are some kinda super fast car with a “police motor” in it… youre dead ass wrong, theyre dog ass slow and cant get out of their own way… the “police package” is just gay shit like a stronger frame, gastank skidplate, no carpet, and higher output alternator to handle the radio, light bar, strobes ect.
Highway gears. They have 2.73’s or lower for top end.
I thought you had to put blue lights on the cop car like the Florida Mustang cop car thats usually up in Lake George.
Also I dont think the NYS trooper cars had the red stripe in the molding but I might be wrong. Im pretty sure the one owned by NYS that was in the cop car display at the Syracuse Nationals didnt have the stripe- Ill have to check my camera later because I shot a pic of it.
I forget what years they had them but I do remember them.
I just saw a trooper Camaro yesterday- surprised me that they still have a 7+ year old car on the road.
