Looking for some ideas or hopefully someone has done something like this already, but what I am possibly looking to do is get a wrecked truck from Texas (Dallas area) up to Buffalo.
I am not sure how freight shipping works, but I think a whole truck is too large to do via freight?
How wrecked is it? Will they be able to get it on a car transport under it’s own power or will it have to be winched on? Does it even roll or will it need to be dragged? I’m guessing most auto transport places aren’t going to deal with really damaged stuff.
The truck I think can be made to roll, if the spare was put on, I think anyway. I did look up some companies and a few had the extra charge for non-running ones. I would have to call to see what options they had as some had flat beds with winches and stuff.
Well, a drunk/high driver smashed into a double cab tacoma and the insurance totaled it, but offered the truck to the customer for 4k to buy it back. At first glance it was looking good, as I thought it was a 4x4 with an upgraded transmission, low mileage engine, tru-locker, etc. But it is only a 4x2 so not really worth buying the entire thing when all I want out of it is the engine.
