i would like to put a A/C system to my 91 240sx …wht parts i need …??? anyone can help …???where can install cheaper…???

just some quick advice…unless ur car had ac and had all the ac lines, dont even bother, its not worth the time and money

u need an a/c compressor
all the lines to and from the dash
a condonser and all the lines to the condensor
then i think theres something under the dash for the a/c to go through the vents, im unure, but then ur gonna have to take the dash out for the lines anyways

then on top of that u need to fill it up, so ur going to have to purchase a recharge kit i think it comes with 2 bottles, for 50 bucks or something like that…then u have to charge the system and hope u dont need more bottles, they are $20 each

for the time an energy put in its a waste when u can just go really fast and have ur windows open :twisted:

i totally agree lol juss drive fast with the windows down and the sunroof up man natural breeze is better plus its too much time if u dont have the ac equipment already in ur car

a/c is not worth the hassle

buy a car with it, else don’t complain… you very nearly have to stip the font half of your car bare, not to mention you need a huge stack of parts

the thing goes under the dash is called evaporator core

and u can’t buy AC recharge kit nemore…
they are illegal unless u have a ODP licence(yea yea, who follow that neways)
having ur system tested and charge can cost u $100-$200

hahaha screw that…i released all my freon and i don’t give a damn, its all in the atmosphere now…woo woo
going to recharge it AGAIN soon. easy as pie

and oh yeah, having the the windows down and driving will kill more gas than having the a/c on.

man thats totally not cool that u do that…do u understand what you are doing when u release it into the atmosphere? because its freon, it reacts with co2 and h20 to creat hydroflorocarbons(hydro-floro-carbons)…which thus makes acid rain…thats bad shizzat man

i have everything you need besides the recharge kit. you cn have ot all if you want for 150 but i doubt you want to do the swap/install now

Actually mithbusters did prove that at about 100km/ph and faster, driving with the windows down does create drag and does waste more gas than having the a/c on.

Are you converting your a/c unit to the new stuff or do you know a place that will fill up freon?
if so huck us uppppp :smiley:
