I need tailgate for my beater. the one i have is kinda rotted and i don’t trust it. if you have one that is rotted, i’m not interested. If its red that means i dont have to buy a can of spray paint, so it will be worth more to me.

Yeah expect it is winter and the salvage yards in WNY are out of their mind with prices especially Howbills. Last time I needed a tailgate it was only $25-30 more for a brand new one from the dealer. I think I paid $120-$130 for a brand new GM gate, and Howbills wanted $100

BTW - What about reinforcing the one i have? Its pretty rotted.

Any of you guys know if an 88 1500 tg will fit on my 91?
It should, the chevy bed design was pretty basic for a long time…I know for example my Sonoma was a 94-03 for most parts. But if I am thinking correctly about what those model years looked like, the only difference I can come up with was headlight design for the body, so the Gates should fit the same. Dont be lazy…go drive your truck out and test fit it
