I have always wanted a Silvia or 240sx of some kind since my childhood. Especially after sitting in a right hand drive '93 Silvia when I was around 5 years old.
I’ve found a '93 for a price that almost seems too good to be true, and you guys are MUCH more knowledgeable than me here at SON, so I’m just looking for pointers and problem areas I should be aware of before I make a purchase.
And I am also curious to see if anyone has a '93/'97 Silvia for sale at the moment.
get a good look under the car and check the frame rails, any rust you see investigate the area, ask to look in the spare tire well around the strut towers in the engine bay make sure theres no serious rust/rot feel the inside of the fenders for rust tap lightly on the surface around the wheel wells and see if you can hear a difference in sound … check for body filler you know … give the engine a start and listen to it
pop the hood and listen make sure theres no knocks …
Typically if it seems to good to be true it usually is but just sometimes you get lucky and you score … I’m sure there’s others that Know Alot more than i do i’m pretty new to them myself … But Yea Very important part Check the Frame Rails if there fucked chances are the rest of the car needs alot of work
But Good Luck
Thank you Nick.
Every bit of advice counts! Haha
