I have tried it. I rode scooters in Miami, Cozumel, and St. Thomas.
They were all wack.
it’s all the negative aspects of a motorcycle (hard to spot, nothing to protect you, etc) with none of the positives (they’re so slow they can’t even get out of their own way, they don’t handle high speeds, wind seems to have more of an adverse affect).
Also, it’s not rational as a daily driver in a climate with such a harsh winter.

Agreed that a scoot can’t replace a car in Buffalo, but I’ve ridden mine at least 10-15 times this winter.
scooters, in general, are easier to spot than motorcycles because of the larger legshield area.
But I may be biased, as I run a scooter shop.
I take my scooter on the 33/198/290 all the time, and there is a yearly race across the country named, oddly enough, the cannonball run.
