WTB: Car with Excellent Fuel Economy

I am starting my job in Geneva and I need a car that can make the commute 50 minutes with some solid MPG numbers. My DSM gets 31-33 http://roclife.org/forums/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif all highway if I stay out of boost. I do not want to get rock chips, and who knows what driving that everyday. My accord gets about 28-29.

I am looking for a civic or something in that nature 35-40+ highway MPG. Must be 5spd in good to excellent mechanical shape, and use 87 octane

I would consider trades for my accord if someone was interested.

I really do not want to go and buy a new civic but I have money obviously saved and can pay off a another commuter car cash (within reason).

I have a 95 stock D16 VTEC hatch. PERFECT shape. NO RUST anywhere. 90K miles. Flawless. $3300.

Yaris FTW…

Is it an SI then? Or CX DX or VX with the VTEC-E motor?

Send me some pics, etc.

my girlfriend just bought a 2007 Toyota Yaris and is getting 40+mpg. Not a bad little car and real cheap too. ~$13k brand new. May be worth looking into
