I am starting my job in Geneva and I need a car that can make the commute 50 minutes with some solid MPG numbers. My DSM gets 31-33 all highway if I stay out of boost. I do not want to get rock chips, and who knows what driving that everyday. My accord gets about 28-29.
I am looking for a civic or something in that nature 35-40+ highway MPG. Must be 5spd in good to excellent mechanical shape, and use 87 octane
I would consider trades for my accord if someone was interested.
I really do not want to go and buy a new civic but I have money obviously saved and can pay off a another commuter car cash (within reason).
i have a 91 accord dx that does about 33 city mpg so im guessing about 37 highway if im not mistaken.
let me know its in excellent running condition havent let up on me once. the windshield has some cracks but i have a brand new windshield and it gonna cost about 100 to install. here is the thread http://www.nyspeed.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13740
my girlfriend just bought a 2007 Toyota Yaris and is getting 40+mpg. Not a bad little car and real cheap too. ~$13k brand new. May be worth looking into
