Been kinda wanting to get back into music again, and want something cheap to toy around with to teach myself to play again. Doesn’t need to be in the greatest of condition. Just as long as it’s serviceable. Not looking to spend more than $40, beyond that I’ll just hit-up ebay.
dont cheap out when it comes to midi controllers. its the most vital part of any midi setup in my mind. its like buying a cheap ball mouse to play FPS games. its got to atleast be velocity-sensitive and weighted keys will make the keystrokes more predictable.
That is an excellent point, but not having money kinda restricts me to low-end hardware unfortunatly. That and the fact I have very little (READ: No.) talent, makes it hard to justify high-end hardware like this. Besides I can sell it on ebay if I decide to upgrade later on.
But otherwise if I could afford it I would get a decent on, I completely agree on that point.
then get one of these…it only retails for like $60. http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/eKeys37-main.html
or better yet, if you can afford it, get one of these. atleast it has full size keys. http://www.zzounds.com/item--FATCMK137PAK
The bottom one is kinda tempting, and I have a MIDI connector along with some older software. Might see if I can find a used version of that, it’s a start.
