making a post for my friend.
he is looking to lower his 300
one question before, the previous owner put new struts in but they are the OEM struts.
can you still put the coilovers over the stock struts?
if not do you guys no anywhere he could buy some besides ebay?
yeah you can put a lowering spring on the stock suspension but not adviceable due to suspension is 17 years old and with the increase stress on them they are just going to pop… so i would say buy new struts on front and rear which will run you for like 600 i think and thats not including labour to change em … if i was your friend i would either wait till save a little more money and buy a set of coilovers which are defenetly take it from me… i went thru the process
Ya we werent planning on putting coilovers onto 17 year old struts.
The previous owner put new struts on, they are not even a year old.
A new set of KYB AGX struts will cost just under $600.
We have the knowledge to install our selves.
My friend is going to buy a set of coilovers, i have a set for mine, and some installed on my friends KA-T.
They work well.
Thanks for the advice :E
