I need one, good condition, internal flapper not seized. Don’t can what car it comes from, but prefer standard ko3, not ko3s housing like on TT 225 or cars like the 337…
I used to have shitloads of Ko3/ko4 core stuff here but tossed all the junk to the scrap bins and sold the good stuff on ebay. Now of course I need something, go figure :headbang

deadbeatREC has a k03 from a 00 AWD motor. dont know his intentions for it. its not a k03"sport" but its not the audi style, short outlet either. its got the longish outlet.

Ok so it’s the one with the large four bolt DP flange to the turbine housing…has like a 5" round outlet to the DP??? Yeah that looks like the one they used on the 337, and a few other transverse mounted 1.8T’s, like on the audi TT 225 model and a '00 AWD model as well as you stated…
I’m trying to find on of those “short” styles you mentioned, with the 3 bolt DP flange. Because of the orientation of the DP outlet I don’t think I can get a proper DP to clear the bottom of the car aerodynamics. This is going on the DSR in case you wondered, and the car only has ~2" ground clearance, so it’s really just due to fitment issues that I don’t think I can use the other housing. The turbo I have currently doesn’t have any turbine housing though :sad

you want a turbo off an Audi A4 1.8t or a passat 1.8t. the audi TT 225 came with a k04-02x which is a transverse with a 3 bolt downpipe. not really a cheap turbo either. but the a4/passats are easy. i threw one away not long ago(wastegate was shot, flapper was cracked). but they are easy enough to find.
the turbo you pictured comes on AWP engines. its a k03 “sport” with the compressor silencer. AWW models with the sport turbo, like the wolfsburg jetta, had a non silenced cover, like the left turbo in the picture i posted.
Ah gotcha. I knew the one I was looking for was pretty common. VAG and all their designations confuse me, haha! Yeah all the blown ko3 turbo’s I did have here were cracked and/or seized as well.
yeah they usually crack around the wall for the WG. just like old DSM turbos. did you get that link i sent you? im sure thats the one you need and im sure you can get it for less.

i have one but its got some hairline cracks, dunno if you could weld it up or use it.
