Hey guys I’m looking to buy a 240sx coupe that’s stock (or almost all stock). I’m basically looking for something near-mint condition. Must be in very reliable mechanical condition. Also must be 5 speed, and power windows. AC Strongtly preferred. No gold cars please. Also nothing with too high mileage. No accidents, clean title, cert, and e-test are a must. I’m looking for a hassle-free buy.
I will pay what the car is worth.
If that doesn’t constitute “posting a price” then let me know and I will add what I have to spend, but I don’t want people thinking that I’ll pay my maximum amount for something that’s not exactly what I’m looking for.
I thought you couldn’t import from the states because of the fact that they have different seat belts or something? (Or it made it very difficult or something along those lines.) I don’t want to import from somewhere else because I don’t want RHD.
I am willing to settle for something that doesn’t meet EVERY requirement I am looking for, but I basically just listed what it would ideally be like. Essentially I will consider any car in very good condition that’s got no accidents, a clean title, and is certified and e-tested.

Asking price for my car (which seems to be exactly what you want) was $6000 in sept 2004. I waited 2+ years to find one that was to my liking.
I haven’t seen one with similar specs on the trader since. You may find yourself waiting a little while; or consider looking into importing like Greg suggested-- either from the US for a clean southern car (which you can find with AC and a power sunroof, but not with leather or a VLSD) or a right hand drive from Japan.
yea… it was when you said rustless and functioning a/c that made your search hard lol.
nehoo… check the states for sur… easy enough to bring one in… and rhd isnt that bad… i personally have a rhd silvia and i have NO problems for daily driving…
I searched for over a full year (dedicated search) and it was when I threatened to buy a bike that my dad found ‘the one’
97 LE no winters, stored indoors underground every day, day and night (work and home), owned by a mature dude, not modded. low km, working air… pretty much exactly what you are looking for. I even got the colour and options I wanted.

But yeah, if this one ever needed replacing, I have already decided to head down south and drive one back. That might be your best bet if you are not into RHD.
