WTB: Welding supplies

Any idea where to get good pricing on welding stuff?

Anyone have any old stuff that might be of use for a noob?
Old Argon bottle etc…

I would also like to know what it would take to make a DIY version of this
MIG conversion kit?

Someday, I may want to weld stainless.

I do have some scrap haynes 230 to start with :frowning:

Roger’s Welding in the city is the best place I’ve found for stuff. A little more expensive than Home Depot or Harbor Freight, but they have the right kind of stuff for what you want to do.

I always went to Buffalo Welding Supply… Guys there really know their stuff.
They also rent out welders and tanks if you want to try it before you buy it ;d

That kit doesn’t really seem like much of anything…
just looks like it helps set up your welder to run .025 wire on pure co2.
Better off with .035 imo o.O

what do you mean by make it a DIY kit?
Like buy all the parts locally or separately or something?

By DIY, i mean finding a regulator and solenoid.

The only thing in the kit that looks like I would need to search out is
the liner.
The other problem is finding a tank for the argon.
I can price the other stuff on grainger.

(I’m cheap, if you have not noticed :))

I know buffalo welding supply has regulators and tanks for sale. Sometimes liners… Since they are trim to fit anyway
