idk i just know usually sealed boxes are tighter and sound better then ported
i think im actually gunna get a piece of mdf and cut out the holes for 2 12,s and screw it over the top part of the box this way i can have regular subs and still be custom and sit nice in my car but im gunna mold the new piece in and fiberglass the top and paint it and have my buddie airbrush it for me it should look sweet.

im thinkin youre getting in over your head.
Hey whatever he wants to do with it is his choice, he got it for free (I didn’t need the enclosure and no one ever offered to buy it, and I’m cleaning house getting ready to sell the house so…)
It needed re-covering, but as for installing the new MDF piece, that’s not a big deal, fiberglassing and getting ready for painting, that would take some effort and know-how, but it’s possible.
Personally, I like my Brahma’s better than the Kickers any day… even though they are only 10"s, one Brahma in a .75cf sealed with ~1600Wrms was louder by FAR and hit the kidneys a LOT harder than the 2 Kickers that I had in that enclosure with the same 1600Wrms split between the 2 subs, but then again you’re comparing apples to oranges comparing L7s to MKII Brahma’s…
more than likey yes but the kicker car work more efficently in smaller air space than the brahma’s if im not mistaken, and solo x it up lol try the penney saver or paper i seen L5s in there a lot
Brahama’s actually work in any space more efficently than almost any subs (W7 and XXX excluded), between the patented motor/magnet structure, and 2.25" of cone travel they’re monsters.
buy my cerwin-vega stroker 15"
ma audio hks-897 1200watt rms amp
4.5 cubic foot port slotted box mdf
hit 150db
therrs not 5 cubes in the back of an fbod… and i think a set of brahmas would be a better bet than l7s

Yea, but they would also destroy that box. It’s well made and works good for “normal” speakers, but the Brahama’s need a very HD box. The one that I built for these is 1.5" thick with internal cross-bracing… also got to remember that a single 10" brahama weighs in about 40#s.
i added the new piece of mdf so now the box holds 2 regular 12,s tommorow im getting the fiberglass resin and some fleece
no fleece. use matting and fibre hair. the fleece will fuck wth you on that.

im actually using a piece of sheet as its just to mold it in and make it look good rather than to be strong but it isnt gonna be flimsy either. i have the sheet spray adhesived on where i want it then u just resin over it and do a few coats and your good ive done it before it works like a charm. now i just need a set of matching 12,s
