I have a customer with a set of two piece OZ Superleggaras i have to take apart to coat. Does anyone have the bolt tool I can borrow, or point me in a direction to buy one locally or online? I heard a serrated wrench or whatever its called from NAPA will do it but i have no clue what that is.
werd, def 10 pts. thats why ya dont allways listen to people on the wheel-whore pages. lol so serrated is the tripple squares i have then or whatever. thx
Hey if you find the dirtbag that stole ~25K worth of porsche tools and factory manuals from me years ago, there’s two or three of those sockets in varying lengths in the set. You could have them at that rate as long as I get my bosch hammer back :shifty
I’ve pulled them out with five point security bits before but it usually mars the fasteners
if i had a mill I would never see the light of day, other than replenishing my materials sock and picking up tooling from the mail man as it was delivered! lol
One can cut one from tool steel on a mill with an indexing table, or maybe broach it with the right cutter. Hell even filing it by hand out of 6061 bar might work, those bolts are not in there that hard(at least from the factory they’re not) If someone rebuilt and put them in at german torque spec then fowgetabootit :lol
Did you order one from that site? cost? I used to have a triple tool set that had three sockets, with the male one having three different inserts of varying lengths.
lots of bad ass tools though! Like the long wobbly allen head for the 1.8T oil pans, way better than fitting 1/4" universals in that tiny ass hole! and I like the hing tool, much better than the cut down tripple square and ratcheting box wrench!
Shopping cart has been down since Wednesday. I’ve been calling non-stop. I’m not quitting until I get through.
I’ve been speaking with a dude at Pertsch & Partner in Germany. He is trying to sell me the full OZ/BBS set…Come hell or high water, I’m ordering something today.
