WTF: 1970 Cuda Speaker kick panels

somehow i got elected to do my neighbors stereo for the cuda, lol. having trouble finding some decent looking aftermarket speaker panels for the kick-panel area. i saw one pair on ebay but they kinda looked like poo.

round 6.5" speaker slots would be ideal. if anyone knows a place, it would help me out a ton. obviously this is for a 1970 cuda (plymouth E-body)

thanks

American Auto sound used to make nice 1st gen Camaro kick panels with speakers built in. Could try them.
Oops- its custom auto sound.

if finding aftermarket pieces becomes an issue, I could fiberglass some pieces for you if needed.

hmm… thanks pauly. their website kinda stinks though

You mean something like this?

appreciate the offer. i’d have to see how far he’s willing to go though. and if that were the case, it would have to look like it belongs in the car, and the car is beyond prestine

Custom auto on transit/main used to be able to order the stuff and had catalogs. Thats about it for vintage iron without cutting dashs apart. Every year i say i’m gonna buy one and i’ll probally say again this year and next…

yup, but those are for an A-body. i need them for an E-body. i really don’t know if there’s a difference, but i would assume there is

no problem. I figured it would be a last resort, but if your search comes up empty my services are available.

edit: here are 2 links i found. Although they don’t show anything for a speaker mount that I can tell.

Easy solution, mount them under the dash

lol… i just dont want to hook something up in that car that’s going to rattle and sound like poop. i’d also hate to fabricate something in that car because it’s all painted, the dash is all together and pristine, etc etc. i am SURE as hell not touching that dash. there is a factory speaker location in the center of the top of the dash. screw that. there are two 6x9" slots in the back. i just need two decent sources up front.

Nevermind lol…

kustom works might be able to find what your looking for and they do a great job if you had it installed there

it’s all taken care of. thanks though. he wasn’t all that interested in doing anything like that. I ended up buying (2) 3.5" speakers which i will fit to a plate the shape of the single front oem speaker. 6x9’s in the rear. it will sound pretty good; more than enough for what he’s looking for

he should just rock the stock raido
