wtf is up with ebay?

reply: Is there nothing you can do to repair this listing? Relisting it is a pain because I have this ebay link cross posted to about 100 messageboards and online forums, I also have 25+ people watching the item and last time the counter worked, it had received over 5000 hits… this is a pretty high dollar item, I don’t mind missing the last few days, but relisting on ebay will make some people wary…

That’s ok. Look at my account: redgoober4life. They don’t seem to know why I’m not a registered user.

bids on the auction listing, you may skip steps 4 & 5):

  2. Then, click on the “End your listing” link. It’s located under the
“Selling Activities” heading in the middle column. You may be asked to
sign in if you haven’t already.

    end early.

  4. If there are no bids on the item, or if you select to cancel the bids
on the item, you will be prompted to select a reason for ending the item
early. You can finish ending your listing by clicking on “Continue.”

  5. If there are bids on the item, you will see two choices:

a. The first choice is “Cancel bids and end listing early.” If you wish
to end the item without selling it to any bidder(s), please select this
option and click on the “Cancel bids” button.

early.” If you wish to sell the item to the high bidder(s) for the
current high bid price without waiting for the listing to end on its
own, please select this option, and then click the “Sell item” button.

  1. If there are bids and you select to sell the item to the high
bidder(s), you will end the listing at the current high bid price by

Message: I started a listing a few weeks ago:

The item number is: 4601439466
The item category is: eBay Motors > Passenger Vehicles > Nissan > 240SX
The item title is: 1991 240sx RightHandDrive 900HP RB26DETT NO RESERVE
JDM

I have not changed the listing for days, but no matter what i search for
(i.e. rb26dett) or browse to (eBay Motors > Passenger Vehicles > Nissan
> 240SX) my item does not appear. I have tried this from about 7
different computers and all of them yield the same result.
Occaisionally, if i refresh the search page enough, the item will
appear… What is most frustrating is that i paid for a featured item
and IT ISN’T EVEN APEARING ANYWHERE! I read through the help section
and couldn’t find any pertinant information. There is definitely a
problem and i believe i deserve at least some credit for the 30 dollar
“pro-pack” that i opted for…

Mich: Thank you for writing in with your concern. Please give me a moment to read this through.
xsprocketbash411x: sure thing…
xsprocketbash411x: i assume it is a pretty standard reply…
Mich: Thank you for waiting. I understand that this is regarding item 4601439466, which ‘Jennifer’ has advised you to end and reply to her email regarding a credit?
xsprocketbash411x: Is there nothing you can do to repair this listing? Mich: I see your concern. I would be happy to transfer you over to the appropriate chat team so they can assist you on the search matter.
Mich: One moment please.

Please wait while you are transferred to another agent.
